Moderation is a process where the entire cohort is viewed as an entity. Grades provided will have to fall within a normal distribution curve, and there will be revision of marks that occurs throughout the entire cohort. Marks will usually be marked down by a fixed amount of marks, it will usually be around 2 - 10 marks, and it will be applied to the entire cohort.
As it is by UK standards, moderation can be stringent and further vetting will be done by external examiners.
Moderation happening at the graduate diploma level will follow the local standards of vetting.
